When former President Donald J. Trump goes on trial on Monday in Manhattan, President Biden and his allies are not likely to say much. The media coverage will be constant, especially if Mr. Trump takes the stand, which he has floated as a possibility. Mr. Biden and his campaign have said nothing publicly about the criminal indictments against Mr. Trump, worried about improperly influencing the cases or stoking Mr. Trump’s repeated allegations — made without evidence — that Mr. Biden has engineered the charges. Many of the deep-pocketed outside Democratic groups supporting the Biden campaign are charting a similar path. When Mr. Trump goes on trial on Monday, he will be the first U.S. president to face criminal prosecution.

CNN —A draft resolution circulating among the Republican National Committee would formally declare Donald Trump the Republican Party’s 2024 presumptive nominee. It would also mean the committee would be supporting Trump and effectively opposing former South Carolina Gov. Those victories have led many prominent figures in the Republican Party to coalesce around Trump and call on Haley to exit the race. Earlier this week, McDaniel told Fox News, “We need to unite around our eventual nominee, which is Donald Trump.”Current RNC rules require Trump to secure 1,215 delegates to officially become the party’s nominee. Some RNC members were discussing the resolution during a conference call Wednesday night, according to a Republican with knowledge of that call.

Starting in 2024, officials say Singapore’s Changi Airport will introduce automated immigration clearance, which will allow passengers to depart the city-state without passports, using only biometric data. Biometric technology, along with facial recognition software, is already in use to some extent in Changi Airport at automated lanes at immigration checkpoints. But passports will still be required for many countries outside of Singapore that do not offer passport-free clearance, Teo stressed. Departure hall at Terminal 3 of Singapore's Changi Airport. CNN —President Joe Biden tripped on a sandbag and fell as he completed handing out diplomas at the US Air Force Academy commencement in Colorado on Thursday. He’s also been seen slipping on the stairs as he boards Air Force One. In his speech to graduates, Biden did make light of his age, which his political rivals have seized upon as evidence of an inability to serve another term.
